Malin Berglund - Creative Lead & Firestarter

My story,
my why.

It started with a needle.

Give a young person some bleach, a stubborn old jacket and a needle, and something shifts. They stop consuming. They start creating.

Then it started with Levi's.

A school project: students got jeans and the freedom to wreck and rebuild them. The films from those sessions are still the best argument I know for denim education.

Now it's a workshop.

Denim Republic grew out of that - a workshop, a school, a lab and a small rebellion at once. Denimrebels is the community around it, in Järfälla, just outside Stockholm.

“I give young people the tools - and the nerve - to change the world.”- Malin
